Chicago’s best wedding vendors gathered at Chez wedding venue to lend their expertise and blend their wedding ideas with different inspirations. Representatives from the Chicago wedding industry included Kehoe Designs, Revel Décor, Limelight Catering, and Jenny Yoo Collection to name a few participants.

Chez put together several “dream teams” of the absolute best and most creative wedding vendors that are working in Chicago today. Teams were formed by partnering industry experts from different companies and asking them to create one-of-a-kind vignettes, or fully interactive experiences, that would simulate the look and feel of an exquisitely themed wedding celebration.

Engaged couples were then invited interact with the vignettes and borrow some inspiration, snapping photos of the wedding flower arrangements, jotting down tasting notes from the different wedding catering solutions and speaking with expert wedding planners on how they might pull off such a look for a Chicago wedding

One of the teams tasked with demonstrating an unique wedding was the combination of Kehoe Designs (décor and floral), Food For Thought (catering), Studio M Chicago (stationery), The Festive Frog (goblets and place settings), and BBJ Linens. All the different elements were overseen by the planners of Storybook Weddings & Events to come up with an interactive setting draped in rich colors that were inspired by the Pantone™ Color of the Year, Ultra Violet.

According to Joshua Jones of Kehoe Designs, “we infused the vignette with a bold splash of violet, deep purples, fuchsia and magenta. Our goal was to juxtapose the vibrancy of color against a neutral combination of smoky gray, black and white while creating textural art that gave guests a fresh take on floral design.” The arrangements and place settings were set on top of a mirrored table, adorned with romantic tableware and surrounded by a combination of ghost chairs and gray upholstered seats.

Food For Thought invited wedding guests to sample their tartine bar, featuring tartines with applewood smoked lake trout, sweet-n-sour blue and blackberry, and toasted sesame and citrus marinated purple beets
