bride and groom smile at each other in park

Leslie and Keith imagined their own blend of Chinese and Korean wedding customs for their summer wedding at Chez. The result? Something unique to the couple and a celebration that was inclusive of all their family, friends and guests. The ceremony included traditional elements from both Chinese and Korean culture: the couple performed a Chinese wedding tea ceremony, where Leslie wore a traditional red cheongsam dress before switching to a white lace wedding dress for the main ceremony and wedding reception. Some of Keith's family members wore the traditional Korean hanbok wedding attire. The custom wedding banner backdrop of Asian-inspired prints featured colorful paintings of plum blossoms and bamboo leaves with messages written in both Chinese characters and the Korean alphabet interspersed in the backdrop. Light blue accent colors and fresh greenery contributed a touch of fresh summer wedding flavor to compliment the traditional elements, and the wedding cake was decorated with white floral arrangements to remind again of the vibrant summer setting in Chicago. Congratulations to Leslie and Keith on your marvelous wedding!
