bride and groom hig on chicago beach

It was cold outside but hearts were warmed by the lovely black tie winter wedding that Christina and TJ held at Chez. In true Chicago form, the winter wedding was held in the chilly month of February but that didn't stop the couple from hosting a lively celebration. Perhaps the most exotic element was the couple's choice of two penguins as one of the logos for the wedding. The antarctic birds may have felt at home near the frozen cityscape outside of the wedding venue, but they were playfully incorporated on to the groom's socks and cuff links. A custom wedding banner that was hand-drawn in black ink showcased a more local pairing: the recognizable outlines of the John Hancock Tower and Chicago Water Tower. There were more colorful splashes to be found in this winter wedding as well, such as the bride's lovely winter-themed bouquet with burgundy, light blue and white flowers. Guests at this winter wedding also got their chance to lighten things up with glo sticks during the dancing and partying that followed the dinner. Congrats on your heart-warming winter wedding, Christina and TJ!
